Kach-up Learning Hub currently implements programmes in the following areas:
Our early childhood programme combines teacher training for pre-primary caregivers, ongoing mentorship, and active parental engagement to strengthen children’s learning at home. We train caregivers in simple, practical, play-based methods they use to support holistic early development, with a particular focus on building foundational literacy and numeracy in young children.

Uganda faces an ongoing learning crisis: children move up through primary school without ever grasping the basics of reading for meaning and simple arithmetic. Our TaRL programme is a direct response.
We implement the Teaching at the Right Level methodology, a proven approach that groups children by their actual learning level and uses targeted activities to build foundational literacy and numeracy. We train in-service primary teachers, provide the materials they need, and give ongoing mentorship so the method is used well in the classroom.

Our children’s community libraries are free, safe learning spaces where children gather after school and at weekends to keep learning beyond the classroom. Each library is stocked with books for every reading level and educational play materials. Activities include guided reading sessions, art and colouring, and free play. Learn more
